Seasons Greetings!
It feels like another hot Christmas coming up. Whether you're outside playing with your pets, travelling, or leaving them at home, don't forget to keep them cool. Watch out for snakes and ticks, too, if you are holidaying away from home, plus check out if fireworks are planned in your area on New Year's Eve. If your dog suffers from noise fears or other anxieties, talk to your vet about a treatment plan as soon as possible. With summer also comes the cat and flea-breeding seasons - make sure your cat is desexed before its too late and your flea prevention is spot-on! Please check the label before treating your cat and read our notes on Permethrin toxity first. Most of all we wish you and your furred, feathered, and finned friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Frightful Noises
Many dogs are tragically scared by thunderstorms and other loud noises, such as fireworks. When scared by noises, dogs will do all they can to either get comfort, or to escape the noise, often putting themselves in grave danger. Thankfully, there are solutions. Click here for more...
Permethrin Poisoning in Cats

Travel Turmoil
If you are taking your dog with you in the car, it can be a nightmare if the pooch is a poor traveller. Many owners emerge from the car looking like they have spent hours in a giant-sized tumble dryer. There are solutions! Click here for more...
Cool Tips for Hot Pets
The savage sun is no friend to your pets. Unlike humans, most animals can't sweat to reduce body heat. Instead, dogs and cats lose heat by panting but there is a limit as to the amount of heat they can shed in this manner. Click here for more...

Home Alone & Anxious
Have you ever wondered what your dog does when you are not at home? If your dog is a destructive, barking, howling, escaping marauding mutt when you are away, Pooch could be suffering from a separation anxiety - a very common problem.

Festive Faux Pas for Pets
Christmas and the holiday season often cause many problems for our animal family members, such as food indiscretions, broken Christmas decorations and lights, insect bites, poisonings, grass seeds, hot footpaths and being left unattended.

Settling In Your New Puppy
The first few days with a new pup can be a nightmare and particularly trying to get the little hairball to sleep through the night. Do you 'tough love' the pup and force it to stay in the laundry or outside or do you spoil it and let it sleep inside?

Seasons' Heatings
When the weather warms, many moggies become frisky. Hormone-enhanced cats roam for kilometres, fighting, brawling, spraying and mating. Cat fight abscesses occur, Feline Aids is spread by biting and, of course, thousands of unwanted kittens are born.
